Finally he rolled!!!

Finally after a few weeks of Jake being so close to rolling over and us waiting for Jake to roll over he did it today!! But nobody saw it the first time!! I had just changed Jake's diaper and had him laying on the floor in his room while I went to get the clothes out of the drier and Craig was in the hallway playing with James. I walked past their room and looked in on Jake and he was on his tummy! I called for Craig, he came in and we flipped him back over to see if he would do it again and he did! He has been doing it all night!

Our Future Artist

Yesterday we were at my Mom's house and we were hanging out in the backyard. James was playing with his toys and chalk. We were chatting and all of a sudden James stands up and points to the ground and says butterfly! We look and this is what we saw!

He drew it all by himself!
We are thinking we need to get him into art classes immediately!

Tired???

Well I guess Jake is getting on a schedule kinda for his naps. He usually goes down between 10 and 11. Well we were in their room today and James and I were playing and Jake was all excited moving all around and cooing up a storm. I guess he tired himself out because he just fell asleep on the floor!

Car Show

We all know James LOVES cars. And if you didn't know, he really does LOVE cars. He always asks, "what car is that?" He knows and can point out all sorts of cars. Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Jag, Audi, Ford, Corvette, Toyota, Aston Martin, I don't even know what else, but A LOT of cars. So on Sunday we thought it would be fun to take him to a car show where he could see all of them at one time! It was a hit! He loved it and we can't wait to take him again, it was a fun thing to do with our little car enthusiast!
This is a 1929 tow truck, (Tow Mater) for all you CARS fans out there!

Playoffs

Today Brianna had her last soccer game of the season. They made it to the semi-finals but lost today. :( They had a great season! We are glad for the break but can't wait for next season to start!

Look alikes???

Does anyone think these kids look alike?

Last night we were at my Mom's and she has a few pictures out of me as a baby. We think Jake looks more like me. So we were looking at my baby book and I found these pictures where we definitely see the resemblance. I think I finally have a child that looks like me!!! Who knows how long that will last though. They change so much!

Last Dance

Last night Brianna had her last Junior High dance! Oh my! I can't believe that the next dance she will be going to will be a "real" High School dance. Having to go out and find a "real" dress. Wow! Time does fly! Here are her and a few of her friends before the dance.

Jake 3 Months!!!

Today Jake is three months old! Where does the time go? Although isn't it weird how you can't remember life before them?? It seems like he has been around forever! Well since I recently just gave you his two month update, because I was behind, there isn't that much to report! He is still so close to rolling over, he has started to giggle a bit. He is such a happy and engaging baby. I think he is teething though because he has been gnawing on his hands and chewing his tongue quite a bit lately. James got his first 2 teeth at 3 1/2 months! Jake is still eating every TWO hours! And he is still NOT sleeping through the night. Only about 4 hours at a time! Agh! I miss my sleep! I think we will get him into his crib in the next week or so. With James that is what was the trigger for sleeping through the night. So hopefully Jake will be the same way. Although I am kinda nervous about it, since James and him will be sharing a room. I hope Jake doesn't wake James up!! James is doing so well at sleeping now!

I thought James and Jake looked a lot alike at birth. I think they still resemble each other but not at all as much. Here is Jake and James, both at three months old.

CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE!!!

Yesterday James and I had a day all to ourselves! After I dropped Brianna off at school I dropped Jake off with my Mom and James and I headed off to Disneyland. I haven't spent a day with him like that since Jake was born. It was nice to be just the two of us. I wanted to go to California Adventure because we haven't taken him there yet, and I saw that they have a life size McQueen and Mater. Well, we have been there but just to eat dinner. So right when we got to the park he wanted to find Pooh, so I went into Disneyland and thought we could go on the Pooh ride first and then we would leave. Of course the Pooh ride is the furthest ride away from the entrance and when we get there he doesn't want to go on the ride! And there was a long line already for the characters and the characters weren't even there yet! Agh! Well we got this cute picture!

So we headed out and went to CA. adventure. Here is James Conlee on the "C"

I am not familiar with the park so I figured we would just start on one side and make our way around. Our first stop was a great one. It was at Mickey's Playhouse. It is a show with all his favorite characters, Handy Manny, Pooh & friends, and Little Einsteins. Oh and of course Mickey & friends! It was so fun! Here he is watching the show.

He did not want to go on any rides but I made him go on the caterpillar ride in a bug's life. He was a little whiny but we got through ok, except when we went through the watermelon that mists you with water. He freaked out!
After that we went on this ship that you could play on and he wouldn't have anything to do with it. He did like the surf boards though!
Suffer in training! Making his Daddy proud!

After that we went to find Mater and McQueen. I was bummed that it was only a picture spot and you couldn't really touch them. I thought James would flip out when he saw them but he was a little freaked out. He seemed excited but nervous. He wouldn't stand by himself so here is a picture of the two of us.

After that we got some ice-cream and called it a day!

Mother's Day!!!

I am so blessed to have three wonderful children and a great husband! I feel so fortunate to be a stay at home Mom and wouldn't change it for the world. I love spending every minute with them. Although yes, it is nice to get out without them once in awhile! My day started very early because we were going down to Craig sister, Chris's house for breakfast. I got to sleep in a little bit and therefore we were a little late getting to breakfast! As I was in the bathroom James comes in all by himself bringing me a box of See's candy! Awe, it was so cute and it was filled with my favorite, chocolate coconut! We opened it and shared a piece. Nothing like a little chocolate to kick-start the morning! I went downstairs to get some coffee and Jake was sitting in his swing. Daddy had gotten him up and changed him. I was wondering why he had on clothes but he also had his jammies laying on top of him. Craig went upstairs to take a shower so I asked Brianna because she was down there with him. She gave me her usual IDK so I lifted up the jammies and found him in a little shirt Craig bought that said "I love Mommy". As I picked him up I noticed a little chain around his neck! It was a necklace that I had been eying for the past year! It was my Push present/Mother's Day present! I was so excited! After we got ready we went down to Chris's to have a yummy breakfast prepared by Craig. He loves to make breakfast and thinks he is going to open his own breakfast restaurant one day! After Chris's we went to my Mom's house for dinner. I felt bad because she prepared the whole meal, but she told me not to bring anything!! She loves to cook anyway! Thanks Mom! It was delicious!

A few weeks ago James was introduced to the ants! He loves following them. So here he is watching the ants!

It was the first time he played with chalk and I drew him some train tracks. I swear boys are SO different from girls! Laying on the ground, looking for bugs! He was a filthy mess before dinner!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Last Swim Lesson

On Friday James had his last swim lesson. I was very sad that it is over because it was something different for us to do. He was just starting to love it and he is doing so well. Friday was his best lesson yet. I have a video of how well he is doing but it isn't posting for some reason! I am always having trouble with uploading video. So when I figure it out I will get it up here!:)
