Holiday Season

I think I said this last time I blogged but I am so behind, I can't believe it! I have not been the best about blogging or taking pictures! I have forgotten my camera so many times that most of these pictures are taken from our phones, hence the horrible quality!
So back at the end of NOVEMBER we celebrated Alex, Brianna, and Sabrina's Birthdays.
 Alex 16, Sabrina 14, Brianna 17
I can't believe Brianna is 17. 17?? Seriously where did the last 17 years go? One more year till she is a legal adult! Agh!
We took the boys to Disneyland on the least crowded day ever! I was so happy! We saw all the Christmas decorations and even though it wasn't a day they were doing the Christmas parade they did the light show with the castle which we have never seen. And the snow fall! It really felt so magical! James' face was priceless, he just couldn't believe it. He was in complete awe! So cute.
James trying to catch the snow in his mouth. Don't know if it tasted too good since the "snow" is bubbles!

We got our tree a bit earlier this year. The last few years our tree has still been alive when we threw it away and I felt bad for the tree. So I thought we should get it the week before, which we did.
It was a rough experience this year. James wanted a snow tree AGAIN and I did not. So he had a meltdown at the tree farm. Craig thought I was such a mean Mom but this is exactly why I don't want to get a snow tree!!!
When we got home the boys stayed up way too late decorating the tree.
We had a few broken ornaments again this year :(

We went to our friends house for their annual Christmas party where the boys had a blast playing with all the little kids!
James had his Christmas performance at school...
His favorite song is Feliz Navidad!

We went to Irvine Park to ride the Holiday train.
Jake the elf!
 Mrs. Claus was reading stories...

 Here comes the train!
 Cute little train
Waiting to get on the train...
Jake and Daddy on the train going to see Santa!
Mommy and James on the train

 Jake sitting on Santa's sleigh.
Jake has never sat on Santa's lap before. The day before we were at the mall and he wouldn't go see him. He was so happy and proud of himself when he sat on Santa's lap! He told him he wanted presents! LOL!
And Santa gave him a candy cane! He was so happy!
James still wanted nothing to do with Santa, in fact he even wanted to go home because he didn't want to be in his presence!
At the end of the train ride they had snow and the engineer waving.

The boys helped Nonni bake some Christmas cookies! James had Magic the Monkey with him that day!
We went to the Newport Boat Parade. We almost missed it this year because it was raining! We decided to go anyway and after we ate dinner the rain stopped just in time for us to see the boats! We were a little disappointed this year with the boats. They weren't very festive.

We went out to a family Christmas dinner to Mr. Stox.
Sammy, Alex, Brianna, Andi, And Sabrina
the boys got to stay home!
And another picture with Alex's "friend" Nico

The restaurant had carolers who sang a few songs for us and were really quite good!
 More baking Christmas cookies!
 Jake stealing the dough
 Little stinker
With flour all over his face!
And then a Birthday dinner for Daddy!
Phew, that was such a big catch up! As you can see we have been quite busy and hopefully now I will be more on top of it!

If you tried to view the last two videos I posted and it didn't work, it is a Google problem and they are working on it. Hopefully I will be able to fix it soon!

Golfing

James doesn't play any sports yet, but I am thinking this spring we will put him into some sort of team sport. Whenever I ask James what sport he wants to play he says, "Nothing, I just want to golf." Craig was very happy to hear that!
Here is James prancing his swing. It is so funny because he hits the ball and then looks back to see it went pretty far, his reaction is so cute.

Drummer Boy

We were over at my Brother's house and Jake LOVED playing the drums. Both the boys love them. Maybe we will have some drummers in the future!

Be the One Run

A week or so ago we participated in the Be the One Run. It is a run put on by the National Donor Marrow Program, which my mother-in-law works for. This run is her baby, and it is the second year they have put it on. Last year it was just James, Brianna, and I. This year we all went out. They have a cute little tot trot that both the boys participated in.
Waiting for the race to begin!
James and Craig were trying to dodge the crowd but I made them get back on the path!
And we are off...
Nonna and the boys at the finish line with their medals they were very proud of!
The race is in Long Beach so they loved that they got to play in the sand after.

We can't wait till next years race!

School Pictures

A few weeks ago James took his school pictures. We just got them back. My favorite is the first one! I love how he looks like he is forcing a smile. I took pictures of the pictures so that is why they are a little blurry...but you get the idea.
