Coloring EGGS!

Coloring Eggs this year was a little challenging. I don't remember this ever being a problem with James, but Jake was wanting to do it all himself. He wanted to put the egg in the cup, which was the easy part, in which the egg splashed all the color out of the cup. Then he wanted to get the egg out, which he let me help him do after trying to do it himself and he realized he couldn't do it. Then when the egg was drying he wanted to touch them. Once he was able to touch them and put stickers on them he was having a fit because he wanted to do it totally himself where he cracked about three of them. Not bad I guess, we were still able to use them.
Waiting to color eggs...so excited!

James dropping one in.

Getting one out.

Jake dropping one in.

Of course we had CARS eggs!

Jake wouldn't stop crying long enough to take a picture so here is what I got!

School Please!

I think it is so cute that Jake wants to go to school since James goes to school. Just recently he grabbed this lunchbox that we keep some small books in and has to take it with him when we go drop off James at school. He has to bring into the class with him too! It is so cute! But I feel bad for him, he has another whole year to wait!

Don't Worry Be Happy Shirts Event

Most of you know that one of my closest friends and her family have started an organization called Don't Worry Be Happy shirts. It is a non-profit organization for cancer. A couple weeks ago they had an event to raise money to help pay patients medical bills. The event was at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana. I went with Brianna and four of her girlfriends. The Ray Johnston Band performed and they were awesome! The lead singer is a leukemia survivor. Here are the girls with Ray Johnston and the saxophone player!

The girls also participated in a flash-mob. Possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity! It was a heartwarming performance lead by Kevin's cousin, Trycia, who has been battling breast cancer for years and is amazing person who is putting up an amazing fight. She was a professional dancer and it was her dream to be in a flash-mob. Flash-mob America put it all together and it was a hit!

Rain Boots!

I just love when the boys can wear rain boots! I don't know why. But even if it the littlest bit of rain I ask if they want to wear them. Maybe because I feel like we don't get much use out of them and then they out-grow them so soon! So this day it was rainy but by the time we went out it had cleared up. We were going to the mall and James got to really use his rain boots, there were puddles in the parking lot and was jumping in them! So fun!

RED and Gold

I am so behind on blogging. About a month ago Brianna had something at school called Red & Gold. It is a school tradition and something the girls look forward to all year! It is a musical production filled with dances, drills, songs, and completely put on by the students. From make-up, to script, to props, EVERYTHING is done by the students. They are divided into two teams, Red or Gold. Last year Brianna wasn't IN the production. She was in Publicity, which wasn't fun at all. This year she was in one of the drills on the Red team. They put on four performances. It is so fun to watch and it brings so much camaraderie! It makes me want to go back to high school for a day!

Brianna was on the Red team and they WON this year!!!
