Mmm Milkshakes!!!

Yesterday my Mom and I took the boys down to Watson's Drug Store in the Orange Circle for lunch. My Mom and I used to go there when I was small, and it had been so long I could hardly remember. We sat at the counter and the boys loved it!

My Mom and Jake enjoying their chocolate malt! Jake drank as much as she did I think!

Mmm...

What a great Lenten lunch! Milkshakes & french fries!! It doesn't hurt to do that once in awhile right?? The car you see partially in the picture was such a hit with James. They put the food in it. They gave him a blue one but he had to have the pink one, it is closest to RED, his favorite color because of Lightening McQueen! He kept saying Ramone painted the car! So cute, if any of you know the Cars characters!

It was such a nice day I think we will have to do this more often!

Family Day

Yesterday we went out to my brother John's house in Murrieta. Every year on my Dad's birthday we still get together to celebrate and we all enjoy being together on that day. Yesterday was his Birthday. It would have been his 70th!
James, Me, my niece Sabrina, my Grandma, & Brianna

Jake & James LOVED these bean bag chairs, my sister-in-law was getting rid of them so we took them home with us!

John, James, & Craig watching the Olympics

James just loves Sabrina

They have a great backyard and the boys love to run around there. There is so much to look at and touch! Jake and I were out there for awhile and I got some good pics of him.

Both the boys picked some fruit off the trees!

Jake kept trying and trying to climb up this bridge. It was a little steep for his little legs.

Happy Birthday Dad, we miss you!

Jake One Year Stats

What a quick year! I love that my little baby is getting bigger and becoming more interactive but I just want him to stay this small so I can carry him around! He is such a little snuggle bug. It has almost been a week since his first birthday and I am still saying that I can't believe he is one! Today we went to the Dr.and Jake received 3 shots and a TB test. He didn't do as well as he had in the past. Maybe it was the nurse! Jake weighed in at 22.3 lbs. which put him around the 30% and for his height he was 28.5" which puts him around the 15%. So he is just a little guy. Very opposite of his brother! But he is learning very how to put up with his brother! He is going to be a tough little one! I turned him around in his car seat today. He seemed to really like it. He was kicking his feet and looking out the window! He looks like such a big boy!

Jake is really at a fun age right now. He is starting to talk a bit. He is saying Mama, Dada, bye, & hi. He really loves saying hi, he walks around like a little parrot, hi hi hi hi! He is kinda a silly little boy. He is starting to play little games like, I'm gonna get you. He will run away from you and then come back laughing. He likes to play patty cake, and peek-a-boo. He puts his hands over his ears or his head like this!

He is already turning around in circles, and he likes to do this position, standing on his head. He does it quite often! He has actually done this for awhile, I have no idea why or where he learned this!

Jake is our little piglet. He eats SO much. To the point where I was kinda concerned and checked with the dr to make sure he was ok. He eats more than James and James is usually a good eater. He loves food and pretty much will eat anything! I really can't even think of anything he won't eat!

He is doing much better sleeping. I thought I was never going to have a kid who napped. Jake now takes two naps and they range anywhere from 1-2 hours. So some days he will get in 4 hours!!! I can't believe it. He goes down for his nap and at bedtime all by himself so nicely. I love it! He is sleeping pretty much the same as he was at night. Waking up at about 5 then I feed him and back to sleep until 7. I can't wait till he can just sleep until 7!!!

Mr Fix It

I had to post this because it must be a boy thing! My friend Lindsay posted awhile ago her son watching the man fix the dishwasher. He got out his Handy Manny tool set and sat next to the guy watching the whole time. Well today we got a new dishwasher and James did the SAME thing! It was so weird and so funny! As soon as he saw the man sit down with his tool set James went and got his Handy Manny tool box and sat down and watched! He was talking to him the whole time! So cute! The man said they get this a lot! I took this picture from my phone because I didn't want to seem like a weirdo getting my camera out! So it isn't very clear. Sorry Linz if you did!!

Jake's 1ST Birthday!!!

Our little Valentine's Baby turned ONE! I have no idea where the year went! I can recall the day of his birth like it was yesterday! And I don't have a very good memory! We had a family party on Valentine's Day at my Mom's house. Like usual!

Good thing my Mom likes to have company and cook! :) Of course we had an Italian meal! She made meatball and sausage sandwiches with a pasta salad! Thanks Mom!!

The cake

Jake's smash cake!

When we started singing Happy Birthday Jake was looking at us like, what is going on! But as soon as he noticed his cake he dove right in! We figured he would, our little piglet!

He LOVED it, as you can see! And ate the whole thing practically! I had to put him in the bath. He had cake EVERYWHERE!!
All cleaned up!

Opening presents.

Jake didn't really want anything to do with opening presents. He got a lot of nice ones though! He was pretty happy!

Nonni showing Jake how to ride his car.

James got a little present from his Nina Roni that he LOVED! A conductor hat, scarf and whistle! Mommy and Daddy love it too because it isn't too loud!

Alex & James playing the floor piano Jake got!

Ready for a nap, such a long fun yet exhausting day!

Jake had a wonderful Birthday!!
Thanks to everyone!

Valentine Dance

Saturday night Brianna and her friends went to the Valentines Day Dance at Servite. Friday night they were all over here making their outfits! They sewed the red sequin top under their white shirts and the read sequin head band in their hair! Good job girls!

Babies, Babies!!

Last Sunday we had a baby shower for my girlfriend Kimmi. She was my maid of honor on my wedding. She is prego with TWINS!!! A girl & a boy! The best of both worlds! My girlfriend Lindsay, her Mom Connie, my Mom and I gave the shower. It was a wonderful day and we had so much fun giving the shower! I didn't take any pictures so I had to steal them!

What Have I Been Missing??

Jake had his first chocolate chip cookie last night! Well his own cookie. He always whines for some when I am eating one. How does he know that it is something good? I don't get it! I have given him a taste before but last night he was really whining for one so I just gave him one. He LOVED it! Now he is really going to cry when he sees someone eating one!

Pretend City

Since we have been pretty home bound the past month I wanted to do something fun and different with the kids. Today my Mom and I took the boys to Pretend City. The new Children Museum in Irvine. I remember going to the one in L.A. when I was little and I always loved it. The boys both loved it.
James drove every car they had and it was so cute because when the stop light turned red he would stop and he wouldn't go again until it turned green! He is going to be a good little driver!

He is driving Yaya (Brianna) to school he told me!

Driving the fire engine

Getting gas

My Mom and Jake in the toddler area

At the beach playing in the sand

Playing with the sailboats

Fixing it with his tools

They had live chicks there and Jake loved them!

James did so well playing and sharing and waiting his turn, I was very impressed. He didn't even cry when we left, they had a store there and Nonni bought him this kit with three wooden cars that you could paint. Maybe that was why he didn't cry when we left, he wanted to hurry and get home to paint his cars!!
Here he is painting his cars. This is the first arts and crafts project I have ever done with him! He loved it! I can't wait to do more things like this with him!

His finished masterpieces!
