FUNNY Dream!!

The other night when the boys were sleeping and I was brushing my teeth I heard something from their room. I went in and Jake was laughing in his sleep. Craig was downstairs and I yelled for him to hurry and come up, thought for sure he would miss it. But nope, Jake kept laughing and laughing. He must have laughed for a good 5 minutes! Luckily we were able to get him on video. There is a little pause in his laughing but just keep watching. He is hysterical!
I wish we knew what he was dreaming of! In the morning we asked him and he said dinosaurs! Who knows!

lOst tOOtH!!

About a month ago we noticed James' bottom tooth looked a little crooked, like it was leaning over a bit. We asked him if his tooth was loose and I felt it. We were shocked to find out it in fact WAS loose! I thought this was a bit young, but I guess it is young, but also normal, losing teeth is a bell curve so there are going to be some who lose them young and of course our super baby who did everything young has now turned into a super kid, so it is really no surprise at all!
James wasn't too excited when he learned he was going to lose a tooth. He didn't really understand, I mean it's not like all the other kids at school are losing teeth and he can't wait to loose his! After we explain it all and that he would eventually get another tooth he was ok with it.
It was getting really lose and I thought it was going to fall pout in a few days, but I didn't notice how loose it really was yesterday. We were at church and I guess he was playing with it. My Mom had said she saw it in church and it was so lose it was hanging by a string! The day before it wasn't like that at all! After church we were outside talking, the kids eating donuts and running around. My Mom asked me if James's tooth came out. I said I don't think so. She says, well it is so loose it is laying down or it fell out! So we call James over and ask him and sure enough it is gone! He didn't even know! It must have gotten swallowed with the donut!
Everybody wanted to see his missing tooth and he was getting very shy about it. He didn't want to show anyone and I think he was a little concerned and sad he swallowed it. He asked how the tooth fairy would know he lost his tooth!
We told him that the tooth fairy just knows and we will write her a letter to tell her that he swallowed it and that is why the tooth is not there!
He was SO excited when he woke up to see the tooth fairy had left him something! He was talking all about what he was going to go buy with his money!
And he discovered the tooth next to that one is loose!!!
Awe, my baby is growing up so fast! :-/

Diaper FREE!!!

Last Monday James stayed home from school with a little fever. Since we were going to stay home all day and I told myself after the first of the year I would start potty training Jake, I thought why don't I start today! We don't have anything going on all week! So unprepared, I started! I put on pair of training underwear and he immediately had two accidents. So I had heard that if you completely leave them naked they understand it more. That is what I did. He stayed naked the rest of the day and he would start to pee a bit and stop himself! He would tell me and then go on the potty!
I had a little help from these...
I left the underwear off until Tuesday afternoon when he decided to take a dump on the floor and then proceed to step in it!  I think that was enough time though for the underwear to be off, he got it. He is a very regular kid that goes about 3 times a day! Since potty training he, I think has been holding it, because he is only going once a day! It just took until Thursday for him to start telling me every time he has to go potty! YAY! We were tested on Sunday when we had to go to church, he made it through and a Birthday party later, he held it for hours because he wouldn't go on their potty! At least I know he can hold it!
So we are diaper FREE in this house! And I couldn't be happier! No more messy, stinky diapers!
Although something about it does make me a tad bit sad that my baby is growing up, or as James would say, "He is a big boy now!"

New Years Eve

New Year's Eve we did our traditional stay at home and have pizza night. Usually we make our own pizzas but we had been so busy and I didn't get round to going to the store! SO we ordered pizzas from this new place that is just like home made pizzas. Well theirs might be a little better than ours!
James in his New Years hat
Jake in his New Years get up

We celebrated New Years East Coast time again. But we were very disappointed they did the ball drop different this year and they didn't show the ball drop East Coast time. So James was bummed he missed that.
We went outside and did our poppers!

Once again a nice, quiet, New Years at home!

James' 1st Golf Lesson

A couple weeks ago Craig decided it would be a good idea for James to take a golf lesson. James and Craig go to hit balls at the driving range every now and then. During the summer I asked James what sport he wanted to play. I asked him if he wanted to play soccer or baseball...if he wanted to do swimming. He told me swimming wasn't a sport! LOL! Then he said, "I just want to golf." I told him golf is a sport and Daddy will be so happy!
James wearing his golf hat! This was a hat of my Dad's that we just received. So cute!
My friend Shannon, her Brother gives instruction where Craig golfs. James has met him before and has shown him his swing! So he knew who he was having his lesson with!
James had fun and Craig said James did really well. It was good for the both of them, now Craig knows terminology to use with a 4 year old!

L.A. Zoo

During the week of Christmas and NewYears Craig had some time off so we decided to take the kids to the L.A. Zoo. Neither one of them had been to the zoo before! James didn't want to go at first because he didn't understand that the animals were in cages. He was afraid of the animals, even though we kept telling him you can't touch them and they won't come near you.
Once we got there and he realized that they are all in cages or behind glass and he LOVED it!

Mr. Sweet Tooth (his new nickname) had to have cotton candy!
He said his favorite animal were the monkeys!
James said his favorite animals were the elephants!
Craig and I both loved the Tigers
There was one Mama with her two cubs, awe!

The boys had so much fun, Craig wasn't a big fan so we didn't see everything. We may have to go back one day!

Christmas Day 2011

Christmas was a little more fun this year since the boys are getting older, especially with Jake. He kinda had a better understanding of Santa this year!
James woke up first and already checked to see if Santa came before he came to our room. He ran in saying, "Santa came!"
We hurried downstairs to see everything!
The boys started with their stocking so we could give Brianna a little time to drag herself out of bed.
Smurfs!!
 New toothbrushes!
 Mario Cart

Making the boys wait for Brianna was torture for them. They finally got started on the Santa gifts!
They tore through them so fast we couldn't believe it! Hardly a second to even stop and see what one gift was before they were on to the next!

Brianna barely awake as usual on Christmas morning!
 Nonni kissing Jakey
 Nonni getting her annual calendar
A big gift for Nonni and Papa...
A firepit! We always wanted them to get one so we could make s'mores and sit by the fire at night in the summer... it was kinda a gift for ourselves! :)
After breakfast we went down to the Rimlinger's to celebrate with them and Nonna and Grampy.
James and Jake got CARS play-doh!
Another thing that was on their list! YAY!
Cars suitcases from Auntie Amy! James always wanted one!
They have been using their suitcases even to just go over to Nonni's house!
 Craig, Nonna, Brianna
 Patrick and Jakey
 Mitchell and James
After lunch with that side of the family, we are back at my Mom's to open more presents and have dinner with the Giuseffi's, Ting and her family, and Nikki and Sabrina.

James and his buddy Ian eating dinner
James and Jake were thrilled when they got remote control cars!
Jake couldn't do his very well
And every 5 minutes this wold happen...

 Jade
It was a very long day with no naps. About the fifth time Jake had a meltdown it was time for us to go. Jake fell asleep the second he got in the car!
We had such a blessed Christmas and the boys already can't wait till next Christmas!
