Long Overdue!!

Wow, this is the longest break in blogging I think I have ever done! I am thinking I may have to challenge myself with another picture a day, to help me get back on track! Ugh!
Well.... back in April I go!
Baseball kept us so busy. I was so overwhelmed by it and couldn't wait for it to be over. Although it was cute seeing them play!

Jake learned how to slide well.
And after we took him to an Angel game he learned a new stance.
Player of the game!!

Pizza party after the game
A friend of mine from high school son was on Jake's team. :)

Great season!
Cute treats I made for snack!

Player of the game!!
End of season party!

Craig was surprised with a gift for helping out. He wasn't an assistant coach but he sure was there and helping out more than any other assistant coach!
One of Jake's friends he hung out with while James had a game.
About a year ago my hair was so long and I decided I was going to donate it. So I had been working on getting the layers grown out to make it one length. So the time had come it was long enough.
I chopped off 10 inches! I didn't like it being this short but I keep telling myself it was for a good cause! It is starting to grow!
We went to Larry's 70th Birthday party. My Mom and her friends for years have enjoyed doing slammers. So they continue on...
Jake had his last time bringing home Patches. Sad my lithe boy is growing up.
Angel game fun!
Of course Jake had to get cotton candy! His fav!
We enjoyed a beach day in April, a little cold but still nice to get out of the house!
James has started climbing the doors. I don't know where he saw this but I use to do this when I was little!
We went to Jake's friend's Birthday party. It was nice they invited James as well.

Coloring eggs!
Easter baskets!
Finding eggs
Sweet Brothers
Last year at church Jake received a chocolate bunny form the priest in which all the kids were raising their hands for. This year Jake got an Easter egg with candy in it!
Family photo
We went to Aunt Rochelle's for Easter dinner. She had another egg hunt for the kids. All the kids waiting for us to say go!
Lined up shortest to tallest

Jake and Michael
James had community lunch at school. Here with his friend Carson.
Jake had a field trip at the Nature Center. So glad I was able to go with him!

Having lunch at the Nature Center
Jake and his best bud Alex
Went to the swap meet one weekend. Haven't been in years!
The boys loved being pulled in this wagon we rented!
Cute Frozen party. Made Olaf treats!
Jake I am sure has much more testosterone than James. He is always pretending he is a ninja, running around with his weapons. James has never been into that sort of thing.
We finally decided to fill in our grass  dirt with cement. Craig has been trying to talk me into it for a couple years. I really wanted fake grass but he didn't. So we never did anything about it. It sat as dirt for about a year.
I am so happy we filled it in. We have such a cute little backyard now that we are really enjoying.
Craig was finally right about something! ;)
James was tainted with the great experience of my Uncle's Laker tickets. Craig took James to his first game.
He really enjoyed it.
Brianna was her cousin Makenna's confirmation sponsor. So proud of her!
Jake had a Mother's Day program at his school. It was another teary eyed moment. My last one ever.

He did so good singing and all the little hand movements!
I was very proud of this flower arrangement I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. :)
Only got one kid for a pic on Mother's Day. :(
Memorial weekend we headed out to Bermuda Dunes for a little get away.
Fun in the pool as usual

A little arts and crafts
Daddy trying to help Jake hit with right handed clubs. Poor lefty needs his own clubs!

Teaching proper etiquette
Golf cart fun!
James' school had movie night. First time we have been. Boys had fun, even though Jake fell asleep. We will definitely do it again.
Jake again with his sword. He carried around this backpack all day! So funny. He even wanted to take it in the grocery store, although he didn't.
James had a class play.
He was very timid up on stage. He said he was nervous.
He did good though!

Master builder...
Cousin pushing him in!
I had this great idea to make snow cones. Had seen this old school snow cone machine and got it for the boys. It was so hard to make the ice and it came out into the smallest dixie cup I have ever seen! Not such a great idea...but they had fun, so thats all that counts! ;)
Jake had his end of year carnival at school. I worked the spin art booth!
Dragon tatoo
Jake's journal...so cute

James has out grown his bike so we had to upgrade. He loves his new bike!
Well the day had come...Jake's last day of pre-school. My last day as a parent with a child in pre-school. Bittersweet moment. Tears were flowing.
Mrs Donna, the director of the pre-school with Jake.
End of the year picnic
Bradley and Jake will be attending the same elementary school!
Jake and his good friend Michael
Jake and his teacher Mrs. Wilson. She was our favorite and we will miss her!
Alex and Jake
Snow cones! My friend Carrie's little girl Makenzie. We will miss seeing them at school!
So glad I got to attend my niece Alex's graduation! Such a beautiful young girl!!
The boys swam for hours with the dog at Alex's graduation party!
We made a summer bucket list so when bored we can find something to do!
Craig has gotten the kids into BB guns :-/

The boys started swim lessons
Learning how to do their strokes and breathe.

We have been going to the beach at least once a week.
Jake and James with our friend Gigi.
James went go karting for the first time! Craig was SO excited!
He was on the course by himself. He did really good and wasn't timid at all!
The next time we all went to watch James. This time there were many other kids on the track. James did really good and came in second place. The kid that beat him was about 12!
Killing time waiting for the race to start.

Another beach day with friends! So much fun!
Duffy ride! Bucket list item!

Beach day with Nonni. James was channeling his inner peace. Nice day to relax!
Jake trying to body surf. So cute, he had his hands right!
James decided it would be fun to blow bubbles in the shower. So he put soap in his mouth! He put so much he couldn't get rid of it and it was burning his nose! He told me never to put soap in his mouth!
So glad I got caught up! I promise myself I will not let that happen again!
