Jake 19 months

Well I was late on Jake's 18 month doctor appt so it became his 19 month appt. which I am still late because this appt was two weeks ago! Anyhow, Jake is doing great! He is a growing boy, not as big as his brother was at this age but he is catching up on the charts. He was our little guy, Daddy was getting a little concerned when he was in the 10th percentile but now he is weighing 26lbs 2ou. and in the 50th percentile and is 30.5 inches tall and in the 25th percentile.
Everything the Doctor asked me if he was doing he is! And has been doing for awhile. He is running around like crazy.

He is talking and singing up a storm although a lot of the time we can't understand what he is saying! I wrote down all the words he is saying since I knew the Doctor would be asking me that question and he is saying 30+ words! Way ahead of the game, just like his siblings.
He is pretty much a happy baby still.

He has hit his terrible twos a little early and hopefully that means he gets through them early too! I sometimes call him my devil child, you should see the temper on this child! He is very independent and wanting to do everything by himself. He has already learned the word "mine" from his brother, and says it very frequently.

He loves his big brother and does EVERYTHING that James does or says! James is playing video games and when James get the controller, Jake gets the controller!

When James gets milk, Jake gets milk

He loves cars just as much as James does.

He also loves riding on or in cars, he always wants to ride in this car but can't do it himself yet, it gets kinda bothersome when we have to push him around all the time! We take turns pushing him all around!

Jake is a major climber. I am waiting for the day he climbs out of his crib. I hope it isn't for awhile! I have already found him on top of the kitchen table, tries to climb the counter and climbs up and down the stairs now with NO problem, not even holding onto anything!

He LOVES Ricky, Icky, as Jake says. He feeds him so much food I think Ricky eats more of it than Jake does! He loves chasing him around the house. I am so glad we have a mellow dog that can deal with the kids tormenting him!
Here is a little video of him playing with Ricky!

2nd Day of School

James was so excited yesterday morning when I told him he was going to school. He wanted to go right away! Then I told him he was eating lunch at school and he was so excited again! Yeah! That made me so happy!

Silly boy with his CARS lunchbox.

James made his first art project at school today! A necklace. Jake wanted to wear it!

James' 1st Day of Preschool

James had his first day of Preschool today. Well I wouldn't say it was his first day because they only went for an 1 1/2 hrs. It was kinda a get to know you day! He will be going Tuesday & Thursday from 9-1. I was shocked and so happy at how well he did. I had been prepping him for about a week that he was going to start school. All through summer we would talk about it here and there and sometimes he would be excited to start school and most of the time he didn't want to go. This last week though he has been ok with going.
Ready for his first day of school.

When we got to school this morning we walked in and found his classroom.

I introduced him to his teacher and he got his name tag!

Then he ran off to play with the cars!

I said good bye and that I would pick him up in a little bit. I walked to the door and as I was walking out more people were walking in so I couldn't get right out and then James yells "wait!" So I turned around and he wanted to tell me something about the toys and then I said ok see you later and I left! No crying or anything! SO happy! When I came to pick him up he was crying because he didn't want to leave!
I asked him how his day was and he had lots to tell me! He played with cars and trains and a boy yelled because he said that is mine! The teacher read a story called Spot. He sang a song, Winnie the Pooh, which I asked him if the teacher sang it and he told me no he just did! He made new friends although he didn't know any of their names. They went out on the playground but they couldn't play, next time they will. He got an owie and a band-aid! Already oh no! I can't wait for all the stories he will tell me every day he has school! Craig and I went to back to school night tonight and saw many parents that I knew! Every one of them said they loved James' teacher so that was very reassuring! We are both looking forward to all the things he will be learning this year! We can't believe our baby is in school! I hope he does just as well on Thursday!

James' first time in the games! So cute trying to catch the egg

Trying to throw the egg, good thing the grass was soft!

Nonni broke the egg

I was bummed that Craig and I couldn't be partners this year since we were the champs last year in this game! It was cute to see James partner with Craig though! After Craig's game with James he played with my cousin Steven. Craig with smashed egg.

Ok so I know most of you know that Craig plays video games A LOT! I am just posting this to show you what he looks like while playing his Racing game. See this full on contraption he has for the steering wheel and the foot pedals, plus he pulls one of the chairs directly in front of the TV! CRAZY Man.

This is my Grandma's "famous" green jello. It is pretty much throw the refrigerator into the jello! None of us grandkids like it and it always gets made fun of. My Mom thought it would be fun to make it for my cousins! Obviously James didn't like it!
