For The Love of MAYO!!

Like Mother like Son. I absolutely love mayonnaise, and it has to be Best Foods. When I was little I would just want a mayo sandwich! My Mom would put cheese on it so I guess I would get some sort of nutrition. Mayo & cheese yum! I haven't had that since I don't remember when...now that I am older I couldn't imagine just eating mayo like that! I always used to ask for extra mayo whenever I ate a sandwich somewhere other than home! Anyhow, James absolutely LOVES mayo as well! Whenever I ask him if he wants a turkey sandwich he always says with mayo! Of course with mayo!! Here we were at my Mom's and the empty mayo jar was sitting on the counter, James stole it and was digging in! Glad I had my camera!!

J-O-B

Time is going by so fast, I just can't believe my little girl (yes she is taller than me), got her first JOB!!! She is working for her Auntie Leah and Uncle Brian at Esther's!! She is working three days a week, mostly probably lunches. She had her first day yesterday and she only has 5 weeks left of summer to work! Then she may work just on the weekends. She needs to save up some money so she can drive all over once she gets her license...OMG!
My sister-in-law went into the restaurant with my nieces yesterday to pay her a visit, she sent me this from her cell phone! I was glad because she would not let me take her picture on her first day!

Tee Ball!!

On Wednesday James started Tee Ball through the city! I was so excited for him to start his first sport ever! I was also nervous that he wouldn't want to play! He was really excited though when I told him he would meet new friends. He LOVES his friends! It was so cute! It is 3-5 year old kids so I was a little nervous about James being 3 and not in school yet, how he would do with older kids. He did pretty well.
When they first got there they all got into a circle and and spread out. Craig got there a few minutes late and when James saw him he was so excited waving and mouthing to Craig that he was playing tee ball!

Spreading out?? Not James, he stood on top of the boy next to him. NO boundaries, he was totally in this kid's space. James would not leave him alone!

Stretching...the easiest way to get to your foot! Smart kid!

"I do".

Getting his wiffle ball.

Trying to step forward

Checking out the shoes on the kid next to him while he was waiting for his turn!

Coach teaching James how to throw a ball by making a "L" with his arm.

And stepping forward with his opposite foot...very difficult!

And he throws it!!

Running bases

Standing on the base

Group talk

YEAH TEAM!!

James loved tee ball and making new friends! We can't wait for practice every week! It makes me very excited for him to start school! He is such a social guy that I think he will have so much fun in school!

Bike Accident

Last Sunday we were at some friends' house and they had a mountain bike with a trailer attached for kids. He and Craig thought it would be fun to take James in it. It was! James loved it and it was like a little ride for him. So after dinner James asked to go on the bike again! So Chad and Craig took him outside for a ride. Just as I walk outside and see Craig flying down the street Craig makes a turn to the left and then a turn back to the right and the trailer flips on its side! Luckily James had on a helmet and was buckled in but we think as a natural response of falling he put his hand out and he scrapped his whole left arm and two of his fingers were skinned. He lost half of his fingernail on one finger! As you could imagine it was quite traumatizing for all of us! This picture is four days after the fact. I have become a good nurse and I am getting better and better with wrapping them. The first day you would have thought he broke his whole hand the way we had it wrapped! Now it is just two small wraps on each finger! He is doing very well with it. I think kids do better than adults do with handicaps! He only complains when it is time to change the bandage because he doesn't like it off. Hopefully it will heal quickly and he won't have to wear the bandages for a long time!

Toy Story 3

Last weekend we took James and Jake to their first movie in the movie theater! James was so excited to finally get to go to Yaya's movies! We drop Brianna off there all the time and he always asks to go! Now it was finally his time! He did so well and Jake did pretty well too. I had to leave a half hour early with Jake, he was getting too squirmy and wanted to get down and run around. It was a long 2 hours! Next time we will just be taking James though!

Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We hung out at my Mom's went swimming and BBQed.
James, Brianna, and two of Brianna's friends.

Jake

James was hanging out in the pool by himself and Craig got in the pool with out him knowing, snuck up behind him and scared him!

Jake having fun with Daddy in the pool.

James in his usual get up...at least he picked out red white and blue undies!

Mommy & Jake

James & Mommy

We went to the firework show at the park and Jake fell asleep on the way there.

As soon as the fireworks started he woke up! He sat and watched the whole thing with Daddy!

James on the other hand did not like the fireworks this year! He was so excited that we were going to see the fireworks and as soon as he heard them shoot off a test one he covered his ears and wouldn't let go! We were at Jimmy & John's Mom's house, she lives right by the park and as soon as the lights went out at the park James bolted into the house and buried himself in the couch! He wouldn't come out of the house the whole time!

Pretend City with fRiEnDs!!

Last week James and I went to Pretend City with our summer play group. I left poor Jake at home with Nonni, just too much for me to watch both of them running around this crazy place!
James & his BFF Ayden

James on the tractor & Ayden in the police car

Pumping gas for Ella & Zoe

Mailing a letter

Doing some construction

Taking his blood pressure in his knee...close right??

Fishing

Playing with the sailboats

James put all the fruit & veggies in the truck and was making a delivery

Looking at the baby chicks

Grocery Shopping

Working the control pannel

Making some music

James rode in this car for a long time, it gave me a chance to sit down and relax!

Last time we we here James got some wooden cars he could paint. He loved it and is always asking if we can get more cars to paint. So when we were there he remembered. They didn't have any cars but they had a train. He painted it and had so much fun doing so!
