Maternity Pictures

My friend Carrie asked me if I wanted to do a maternity photo session with her. I was a little hesitant at first and have never done one before. Well, I ended up doing it and I was sure glad I did! I love all the photos and I am only putting up a few because there are way too many to post. Thanks Carrie! If you would like to check out more of Carrie's work go to her link on the side bar of my blog! :)

Out on the Duffy

Since we have had such nice weather on Saturday we thought we would go down to the beach. It was so beautiful down there. We decided to get some lunch and take the Duffy out. Thanks Nonna and Grampy! James loved the boat and the ducks but hated his life vest he had to wear! Poor thing! He loved leaning over the side of the boat trying to touch the water of the wake, of course this scared his Nonna! This will definitely be something he will want to do more of!

Big Boy Bed Update 2

Well I think I might have spoken too soon about how well James was doing and every night it got better and better. The past few nights have not been as well. The night after he went to bed in 25 minutes I thought great, maybe tonight it will be 15 minutes. HA! Wishful thinking... it took an hour and 15 min.! He doesn't cry and he doesn't get out of bed, so that is the good part. He just takes SO long to go to sleep! I go crazy in there, plus it is hard for me to sit on the floor for THAT long. So the next night I had Craig sit in there with me it took 45 minutes for him to go to sleep, he is singing and reading and everything but going to sleep. Tonight Craig went in by himself, he was really tired tonight and it only took 25 minutes again. So who knows, I just hope this ends very soon. Plus every morning he has woken up at 5:45 and doesn't go back to sleep! This makes no sense to me because when he was in his crib he would sleep until 7 or 7:30. I just pray it is all over before this baby comes!
Here is a cute picture though of when he is sound asleep..he looks so peaceful! :)

35 weeks and counting

Today I went in for my 35 week check up. I was very disappointed on my weight gain. I don't even want to mention what it was. Although, my Dr assured me that it was ok since I have only gained 30 lbs. to date. So that is good. I am just afraid I am going to keep gaining because that is what I did the two times before. Even though "most" women tend to not gain anything in the end! So this kinda concerns me that I maybe having another large baby! My Dr doesn't seem to think so because I am measuring right on. But she didn't think so last time either. I am dilated to one, not that that means anything, and his head is starting to engage. She doesn't think I will last till my due date, but she also said that last time too! I am just convinced they really have no idea! I am just going to try to start walking a lot to get him moving down. The baby is quite the little mover, Craig thinks he is going to pop through my belly any time now! Neither of the kids before moved like this. It actually really hurts! And of course it is when I want to go to sleep! With this picture you can see why people keep asking me if I am due any day! How rude! I have 4 more weeks, can I get any bigger??? The answer is YES! But I do want to say these are my normal pants! Yes, they are drawstring, but still they fit!

Big Boy Bed Update

So the crib came down on Saturday. We all did it together and James said bye-bye to his crib. The first night was a nightmare! Horrible, I thought how are we going to get through this, he is NOT ready. Saturday night he was hysterical for about almost an hour, he wasn't calming down, I was getting frustrated so I finally gave in and rocked him to sleep, he fell asleep in about 2 minutes and then I put him in his bed. He woke up at 5:45 and I went in and tried to get him to lay down and go back to sleep for an hour and 15 min! Finally the sun was coming in the window, so I figured we might as well just go downstairs now! Second night was better, I tried using the Super Nanny technique and we went through our routine of two books while rocking on the chair and then he went into bed and I read two more books and then he laid down, I sat on the floor next to his bed for 50 minutes until he fell asleep! At least there was no crying!Yea! He woke up again at 5 and it only took 15 minutes for him to go back to sleep. Third night same thing only it took 45 minutes! Woke up at 5 again, have no idea why he is doing this but went back to sleep quickly again. And tonight a record of 25 minutes! It is getting better and better!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed!

No More Brace Face!!!

Yay! We have wonderful news! Brianna got her braces off yesterday! After 7 long years of having some sort of dental apparatus in her mouth, from a top expander, to braces, to a bracket to fix a tooth that came in sideways, to a retainer until she lost all her teeth, back to braces, she is finally done!! Half of her life spent in the orthodontist seat! Here is her beautiful brace free smile!

Making His Crib His Home

So far we have had no luck with James sleeping in his big boy bed. Last night he actually put all this stuff into his crib and wanted in. I just thought it was so funny that he put all these things in his crib, is he trying to tell us something? I think he is even sleeping on some cars! After he fell asleep we moved him into his bed because we thought maybe by waking up in his bed he would realize it wasn't all that bad and go to sleep in his bed tonight. Well he slept in it all last night but no such luck tonight! The crib will be coming down this weekend!
