James the Little Reader &Jake 2 months

Quite often I find James sitting quietly reading to himself. He will actually sit for awhile and read, I know hard to believe since he is so active! Today James decided to read to his brother, how sweet! Jake really looks like he is interested doesn't he?

I also have been so busy around here that I forgot to post about Jake's 2 month check-up. It was on April 15th!!! Bad Mom award! Anyhow, he was 23 inches; in the 75th percentile and he weighed 13lbs. 4oz.; in the 90th percentile! In comparison to James he is on the small side. James was only 10oz larger at birth but was 2lbs. more then Jake at his two month apt.!! He is doing really well, he is such a strong little boy. Now he is 11 weeks. He is almost rolling over, he can roll onto his side but isn't quite strong enough to get over all the way. He is such a social little guy, smiling all the time and cooing, on the verge of a giggle! The sleeping situation isn't going too well. I think I need some help in that department, I am beginning to think it is the mother not the children that have the problem! He, like my other two, is not a napper! At night he is doing ok, sleeping at the most up to 6 hours. That has only happened a couple times though. Usually it is about 4 and then every two. So he is still getting up about 3 times a night. I am longing for the day when it is once a night!
Here he is today, our happy little boy!

Here is a picture I recently received taken on Easter. It didn't make it into my Easter post but it was too cute not to put up on the blog!

An Evening at Disneyland

Last Thursday it was so great, Brianna went to Disneyland with her friend Megan and so I decided to meet them there after James woke up from his nap. It was difficult having both the boys by myself but once we got in there I was thankful Brianna and Megan were there to help. I don't know if I could ever go with both the boys all by myself! Craig was bummed we were there without him so he came and met us at dinner time. I had my camera but didn't take any pictures because I didn't have another free hand! I only was able to get one picture with my phone. We went on the carousel and James has never wanted to go on the horse. When he saw Brianna and Megan get on the horse he flipped out. I thought he wanted to get off the ride but no he wanted to GET ON THE HORSE!!! Since I had Jake in the Bjorn I couldn't get James up on the horse so some nice lady picked him up and put him up there!
He doesn't look happy in this picture but he was so excited the whole time!

It was such a perfect day there, no crowds at all. We walked right on It's a small world and of course we had to go to the Pooh Bear ride. Craig took James on Nemo because it was the shortest the line has ever been(we were told).
I am so glad we bought passes and could do quick little trips like that!

How Cute is This?!

Today James, Jake, and I went down to Nonna's work to pick up our camera because we left it at their house when we went to the beach. So here is James with a sign he found dragging it all through the office.
Here is your next recruiter Nonna!!

I Think It Is Summer!!

Since it was so hot this weekend we thought it would be perfect to take James down to the beach. This was the first time he was in the sand and ocean since last summer so I was hoping he would like it just as much as he did last year. Boy did he LOVE it!
We buried our feet!

Chilaxing in the sand

Daddy took James in the freezing cold water, but he didn't mind at all!

Swim Lessons

Today James had his 5th lesson. He didn't cry again! So I got to stay and this time I had the camera! He still wouldn't put on the goggles, surprise surprise!! So Miss Cerra said he wouldn't get a lollipop again! He did very well though and followed all other instructions so she decided that he deserved one! Whoo-hoo!!!
I think his face is so funny in this picture!

And here is a video

Jake's 1st Haircut

Auntie Dina cut Jake's hair yesterday! He was 8 weeks and 2 days old!
Here he is before his haircut...

We had to keep his binky in because he was not happy about getting his haircut!
