Father's Day!!

Craig decided that he just wanted to watch the US Open all day so we didn't have much of an eventful day. I did make sauce and chocolate chip cookies since that was what he wanted for dinner. We brought it over to my Mom's house and did a duel dinner for Father's day and my Mom's birthday! We lucked out and it was a nice day so we were able to go in the pool!

Jake 4 Months

On Sunday Jake was four months old. He went to the doctor today for his check-up and he is weighing in at 16lbs. 2oz. And he is 24 1/2 inches. The Dr. thinks they measured him wrong though because he went from being the 75th percentile for height to the 25th. Just doesn't seem right. He is also in the 75th percentile for weight.

Some if the things Jake is up to now... Rolling over from back to tummy. He loves rolling over but doesn't like it when he is on his tummy for too long. So we are always having to roll him right back over. Hopefully he will learn to do it himself soon.

Reaching for toys and holding on to them for a few moments.

Sleeping about 8 hours at a time at night. So waking up about once a night. I am very happy about that. He isn't the greatest napper but I think it may be because he eats every two hours. At least he is getting use to falling asleep by himself! He is sharing a room with his brother now and all is going well. Except for the fact that James can climb into the crib and thinks that it is the greatest and funniest thing. When James woke up this morning he went straight into Jake's crib. Luckily Jake was already awake! Jake is the most smiley baby I know. He is so happy and smiles at anyone and everyone that looks at him. I can't wait to see more of his personality as he gets older.

I think he will be very sociable as he loves to babble and make razzing sounds.

He always wants to be held and in the center of what is going on. If he isn't he is usually crying. We call him the drama king! He loves watching his brother and giggles at him all the time. I can't wait until they can play together!

He loves chewing on blankets or burp rags. I think we will have another blankie baby! Awe...I love it! :)

Car Enthusiast

Well I must say we are becomming quite the car enthusiasts. This was our third car show in one month! We are really enjoying this new found past time. Sunday we went to a really fun car show down in San Clemente. It was our first beautiful day in awhile here and it was great to spend it outside at the beach. As you all are coming to find out how much James loves cars, now it is starting to pay off! We walked up to this car and Craig asked James, "What car is that?", as we always do, and James says "Ferrari". Well the owner of the car was standing right there and heard James. So the owner says, "Well for any kid who knows what kind of car this is they get to sit in it!" James was so happy, he was honking the horn, I thought great we are not going to be able to get him out. But he got out like a good little boy! Thank goodness no fit! Then every car after that he kept asking if he could sit in it. Nope not another chance!

My Dad would be so proud! It is times like these where I wish my Dad was here to share in these great memories!

Car Wash

Today was the first weekend in SO long we had nothing to do, no plans, no where to be. It was so nice. Well actually Brianna did have a party to go to. But it was nice not really having a schedule and we were able to get some things done around the house that have been on the "to do list" for awhile. Craig cleaned the whole garage today and then decided to wax my car. James was out there with him and was so excited when he got to "help" wash the car. This was the first time. He has just learned about car washes and always pretends with his cars that they are in a car wash. So once he was done helping wash my car he wanted to wash his own car! It was all good until he ran out of soap in the bucket and we had NO idea what he was talking about, that he wanted more of something. Oh my, I didn't even get pictures of the fit he threw. It was the biggest fit EVER! He cried for 30mintues! Then fell asleep THANK GOODNESS!

Later James and I went in to pick up Jake from his nap and I left the room, came back and found James in Jake's crib. Uh oh. He was just being silly. It was weird to see him in there and just how much he has grown. He was in that crib 6 months ago!

Brianna's Graduation

Last night Brianna had her 8th grade graduation! I seriously can't believe that we were at that school for nine years and high school is going to go by in four years! The graduation was really nice. They started with a mass and had a few personal touches to it. Then ended with handing out diplomas.
It is weird to see my little girl grow up but I am so proud of the wonderful young lady she is becomming!
Here she is after receiving her diploma. The church lighting was horrible and I didn't get any good shots. :(

Awards Night

Tonight Brianna had awards night at school. It was the last of the festivities put on by school. Tomorrow is graduation! I can't believe it! It was a great night and they put together a slide show of the kids from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. It is amazing how they grow up! It is a little bitter-sweet for them since they now go their separate ways, not all going to the same high schools. She got an award for having outstanding citizenship all year!
Here she is receiving her award

This is her group of friends who she has been friends with from Kindergarten.

Getting braver!!

On Tuesday night we went to Disneyland for a few hours because Brianna was there with her school. So we thought it would be a good chance to take James. Last time I took James I was a little worried that he was regressing with the rides. He didn't want to go on anything. It seemed like now that he knew what the rides were he didn't want to do it. Well this time he totally wanted to go on the rides and he even went on Dumbo!! I couldn't even believe it. That is a big ride for him. He was a little timid getting on but as soon as it started he was cracking up. I could here him from the sidelines! I was so happy because my little Brianna HATED rides just up until a few years ago. And I am such a roller coaster thrill seeker! Maybe Jame could be my ride buddy!
Here is Craig and James on Dumbo!

And here he is for the first time on a horse by himself!
