Jake's Baptism

Sunday we had Jake's baptism! Deacon Bob did a wonderful job and Jake did pretty well too! He had a moment of screaming, he was the only one who screamed but it just lasted a few moments and then he was asleep. I did have to get up though and walk off to the side. He was quite loud!
Isn't he precious in his little outfit!

Family pic

Brianna and James walking in to the church...I just liked this photo!

Deacon Bob wanted some Grandparents to do the readings so he called on Nonna and Grampy! Yeah!

Jake slept through the pouring of the holy water on his head!

Car Accident

***NO ONE WAS HURT***Saturday evening as Craig and I were on our way from a wedding ceremony to the reception we were driving along in stop and go traffic at about 5mph, minding our own business, and all of a sudden we hear a big smash and then Craig says, "Oh $#@!", and tries to move into the right lane. It wasn't soon enough because next thing I know we were rear-ended! It was a three car pile-up and we were at the end of it. Thank goodness we didn't hit the person in front of us! They had to tow Craig's car so luckily my Mom and Tom were shortly behind us and pulled over. We went on to the reception with them. No one was hurt in the accident but the next morning we woke up sore! I have a little whiplash and Craig is achy. Today we got the sad news that his car is going to be totaled. I know in the pictures the damage doesn't look that bad but the whole frame was damaged. It totally sucks, kinda sad, and we just are so thankful no one was hurt and our kids weren't with us!

4th of July

We had a pretty quiet 4th of July. We went over to my Mom's house and went swimming and had a BBQ. It was a nice day.

James helping watering the plants...he loves to do this!

I love this picture of James...he didn't want to take a picture, can you tell?

We went over to the park to watch the firework show. The only time James has seen fireworks was last year at fourth of July, but he didn't remember them. He kept saying he was going to see fireworks but didn't know what he was talking about. Once they started he was a little freaked out. He was sitting in-between my legs and kept whining a little bit when a loud one went off. Doesn't he look a little scared? But after he said he liked it!

Date Night at the Angel Game

Friday night Craig and I had such an enjoyable date night! My brother gave us tickets to the Angel game! We took Craig's friend Chad and his fiance. Thanks Jimmy! We had a great time even though they lost, we also enjoyed the Friday night fireworks! It is weird to be at Angel stadium with the lights out!
Here is a horrible picture of Craig & I, took from his phone.

Palm Desert

Last Thursday we went to Bermuda Dunes which is out by La Quinta in the desert for a long weekend. This was our second annual trip. Thank you Uncle Tommy and Aunt Debi for letting us use your house. We had a great time, I didn't want to come home. We went with my Brother John and his family, my nephew Sammy, and the girls each brought a friend. There were a lot of firsts for Jake this weekend. We did a lot of just hanging around and sitting in the pool. It was very relaxing and much needed! The guys did 5 rounds of golf! Craig was in heaven. It was Jake's first vacation, first time in the pool, and his first time eating cereal.
Yes, Jake is wearing pajamas in the pool...the Dr. told me that was the best way to protect him from the sun. It worked! And I would have never thought of that on my own!

It didn't seem like he liked the first bite but he finished the whole bowl!

James did very well in the pool. He has no fear, and I don't think that is a good thing. I think I went from one extreme to the other. Brianna wouldn't even get her face wet and James is jumping in without anyone even paying attention!
He loves floating, which is nice to relax him once and awhile!

Playing with Daddy

Going to get the cars all by himself under the water! Sammy making sure he doesn't drown.

All the kids playing

Brooke, Brianna, & Sabrina

The Nelsons were out there on vacation also and came by for a visit, James was thrilled to play with Jude. This was also a first for James...Otter Pops!

Daddy took James out on the golf cart, another thrilling adventure!

Sabrina & Jake

A great time had by all, can't wait to go again!

Blessing

Geez I feel like I haven't blogged in so long. It really hasn't been that long though, I guess a lot has gone on for us lately. Last Wednesday my Mom & Tom had their marriage blessed in the church. I hardly got any pictures because I was taking pictures with Tom's camera in the church and after when we went to dinner no one would let me take their picture!
Even James was giving me a hard time. The only one I could count on for a smile was Jake!

Finally Brianna and Andi posed for me!

I was a little bummed we didn't get a family picture since we were all dressed nice!

Father's Day!!

Craig decided that he just wanted to watch the US Open all day so we didn't have much of an eventful day. I did make sauce and chocolate chip cookies since that was what he wanted for dinner. We brought it over to my Mom's house and did a duel dinner for Father's day and my Mom's birthday! We lucked out and it was a nice day so we were able to go in the pool!
Nonni, Daddy, and James in the pool & Jake just watching!
