Playing with Daddy

Craig took James out to the golf range the last two weekends to try out James' new clubs. Craig has been pretty impressed by James' golfing capabilities that I wanted to go see too. So Sunday we took him to the range. I think because he didn't have a nap and it was way past lunch time that he wasn't that interested in hitting balls.

And here is a little video of him hitting a golf ball. He hits it in the first second of when the video starts so if you blink you might miss it! He hits it right in front of the lady next to him!!

Supposedly according to Craig's golf instructor James hits pretty well for his age. Craig was ecstatic about that! Hopefully he enjoys it as much as Craig does, he can't wait till the boys are old enough to golf with him!

Too Grown Up!

On Saturday night Brianna and her friends went to a Quinceanera of another friend. Here is a picture of her and two friends before they went. Looking at this picture was the first time I have thought, oh my gosh, she looks SO grown up!

Adjusting to the Time Change..

This week was really tough for James. I don't know about anyone else, but oh my geez! Every night it took him SO long to go to sleep. Getting out of bed playing, reading, and anything for me to come upstairs. Normally he goes to bed around 8:30 but he wasn't falling asleep until 9:30 and one night even 10:00. Last night was the first night he fell asleep at a decent time. Thank goodness! Hope it continues.
Here he is one night. He fell asleep in his chair reading books!
And yes, he even takes his clothes off when he is going to bed...i told you I can NOT keep clothes on him!

Jake's 1st Boo-Boo

Jake got his first boo-boo the other day. We were playing outside and he was walking fast down the sidewalk and when it dropped down because of the driveway he went down too! Poor baby scraped up his nose and he had a bloody lip! :(
This is the next day when it scabbed over.


I know this will be the first of lots more to come!

Don't Worry Be HAPPY!!!

My long time friend Julie, her cousin Kevin passed away last summer to brain cancer. He put up a fight for more than 6 years. My Uncle Mike passed with the same type of cancer about two months after him. Kevin always wore the same blue shirt that donned the words "Don't Worry Be Happy" to see the doctor, he said it was his lucky shirt. Julie, her Mom Mary Ann, and Kevin's sister Meagan started a charity selling replicated shirts of his "lucky" shirt in hopes to raise money for cancer research. James' Birthday Party!

We had James' Birthday party on his actual Birthday, last Saturday. He had been waiting for this day for such a long time! He was so excited when we told him that morning it was his Birthday! He immediately asked where his presents were! This year he really understood the whole concept. Since Jake's Birthday he would see something on tv and say, I want that for my Birthday! He understood he was going to have a cake and picked out all the paper plates and his candle. Of course EVERYTHING had to be CARS once again! We had all the family over at my Mom's house, of course! We got there a little early and James was so cranky he fell asleep about an hour before everyone got there! The first guests arrived and he woke up! I guess it was a good thing he got in a little snooze before his big day!

I took it upon myself to bake my own car cake! I think it came out pretty well! And it tasted good too!

Hmm...SOMEONE took a couple bites out of the cake before they were supposed to!
