Santa Ana Zoo

Last week we had such fun filled week! Disneyland one day and the Zoo another! The kids have never been to the Santa Ana Zoo and I haven't been since Brianna was little. Everyone keeps saying how fun it is. So when our friends asked us if we wanted to go I jumped on it!

 Jake at the Zoo
 Sitting on the frog!
They don't have many animals there. But here are some large ducks!

Animal merry-go-round. James picked the Eagle
Jake picked the "Tiger".  He thought it was a tiger! :)
 Pretty cool camel
We had a really fun day! We will definitely go back!

Third Child Syndrome

Well Jake is definitely a product of the "Third Child Syndrome". Poor child. Just right after his third Birthday I FINALLY got his name up on the wall! Brianna, had hers up on the wall since we moved in our house, hers had been up for six years until she redid her room last summer and decided to take them down. James had his name up on the wall since right after he was born. And Jake, poor Jake, got his up right after his 3rd Birthday! Craig has been bugging me to order the letters and get his name up on the wall, especially since James and Jake SHARE a room. Poor Jakey didn't have his name up on the wall for so long! I keep saying time is going too fast! I don't know how THREE years escaped me!
But now, he has his name on the wall! YAY!

Jakey is 3!!!

Our little Valentine's Baby turned THREE! Wow, has it really been THREE years! My youngest child is already THREE! How did that happen. He doesn't even seem THREE. He is such the baby of the family. Not only in our family, but he is the baby on my side and on Craig's side of the family and he does seem like such a baby to me still. Maybe it's because I don't want him to grow up!
The Birthday Boy helping me in the kitchen...
We made CARS pancakes, aren't they cute?!? They were so hard to make, it was my first time!
We also made heart pancakes, much easier!
We sang Happy Birthday to Jake in the morning, since we were headed to Disneyland for the afternoon and night!

Grandparents Day

Last week James had Grandpals Day at school. I love that they have this day. James gets so excited for his Grandparents to come see his school. They met all the Grandparents in the church where they sang songs to them. James is on the top row 2nd from the left.
After James took them back to his classroom where he toured them around the class, the other classes, and the playground. My Mom said that he really was like a little tour guide!
Once again I forgot to tell the Grandparents to bring a camera, so they were using their phones. So we didn't get very many good pictures, but here is James with Nonni.
They all had a fun day!

FUNNY Dream!!

The other night when the boys were sleeping and I was brushing my teeth I heard something from their room. I went in and Jake was laughing in his sleep. Craig was downstairs and I yelled for him to hurry and come up, thought for sure he would miss it. But nope, Jake kept laughing and laughing. He must have laughed for a good 5 minutes! Luckily we were able to get him on video. There is a little pause in his laughing but just keep watching. He is hysterical!
I wish we knew what he was dreaming of! In the morning we asked him and he said dinosaurs! Who knows!

lOst tOOtH!!

About a month ago we noticed James' bottom tooth looked a little crooked, like it was leaning over a bit. We asked him if his tooth was loose and I felt it. We were shocked to find out it in fact WAS loose! I thought this was a bit young, but I guess it is young, but also normal, losing teeth is a bell curve so there are going to be some who lose them young and of course our super baby who did everything young has now turned into a super kid, so it is really no surprise at all!
James wasn't too excited when he learned he was going to lose a tooth. He didn't really understand, I mean it's not like all the other kids at school are losing teeth and he can't wait to loose his! After we explain it all and that he would eventually get another tooth he was ok with it.
It was getting really lose and I thought it was going to fall pout in a few days, but I didn't notice how loose it really was yesterday. We were at church and I guess he was playing with it. My Mom had said she saw it in church and it was so lose it was hanging by a string! The day before it wasn't like that at all! After church we were outside talking, the kids eating donuts and running around. My Mom asked me if James's tooth came out. I said I don't think so. She says, well it is so loose it is laying down or it fell out! So we call James over and ask him and sure enough it is gone! He didn't even know! It must have gotten swallowed with the donut!
Everybody wanted to see his missing tooth and he was getting very shy about it. He didn't want to show anyone and I think he was a little concerned and sad he swallowed it. He asked how the tooth fairy would know he lost his tooth!
We told him that the tooth fairy just knows and we will write her a letter to tell her that he swallowed it and that is why the tooth is not there!
He was SO excited when he woke up to see the tooth fairy had left him something! He was talking all about what he was going to go buy with his money!
And he discovered the tooth next to that one is loose!!!
Awe, my baby is growing up so fast! :-/
