March

The boys both started Little League this year. Opening day is a big deal, they have a ceremony and usually a parade of all the teams, but it got rained out this year so we had it in the high school gym.
Jake's team is the Pirates.
He is enjoying playing but said the best part is the snack!
James' team are the Mets
James is having fun playing and likes hitting the best.
Here are some baseball pics...

First time being catcher. James actually loves this position!

Baseball ready...
Playing at Brother's game.

Jake being catcher. It is so funny seeing him walk in all that gear. He looks like a robot.

One day I opened James' catechism book and found this....
thought it was pretty funny!
James had his first diorama. We had fun doing it together!
We celebrated the March Birthdays in James' class.
They enjoyed juice and cookies.
We celebrated James' Birthday at Nonni and Papa's with Nonna. James decorated his own cake...
Birthday boy turned 7 this year!

Just what he wanted, Legos and more Legos!
Chase and Brianna helped put together Legos.
On his real Birthday this was the first year in a long time we couldn't go to Disneyland, baseball came first. He picked The Habit for dinner.
we shared little bundt cakes.
More Legos!
Jake had Olympics at his school. Playing basketball.

Cathching UP!

January
We started out 2014 fresh and new! Craig landed a new job which we were very excited about. During his time off he came with me to work in James' classroom a few times. James enjoyed both of us there and  Craig will be missing working with the kids.
On Craig's last weekday before he started his new job we had a lovely lunch date. It was beautiful weather so we went down to Crystal Cove.
Jake had snow day at school.
Even though it was the hottest week in January ever! I felt so bad for the kids all bundled up and it was 90 degrees!
Jake's first run down the hill
Such a great day, we are so lucky his school has such fun events for the kids! Sad it is our last one!
It was so hot that I took the kids to the beach when we didn't have school one Monday.
Crazy boys even went in the water!
James lost his two upper teeth! He says it is hard to talk!
We enjoyed going to the Laker game one night with Chase and Brianna. Always a fun time!
Jake had Daddy and Me day at school.
 Love these...

Jake's tie he made for Dad
They had fun making playdoh figures!

FEBRUARY

Baseball has begun. And wow is it different than soccer! Jake had his first practice. He wasn't too thrilled when I told him he was playing. He wanted to play soccer.
 Playing in the dirt

He had so much fun!
 Tired boy!
Usually we go to Disneyland on the boys Birthdays.  This year though Jake's Birthday was on a Friday...and for some reason Disneyland decided to black out that day for our season passes. So I took Jake to Disneyland during the day while James was at school the day before his Birthday!
We got to sit in the front of the monorail! I didn't know there are seats up there. It was pretty cool.
It was a nice day for the two of us!
 James had his first practice...
He also had fun
He runs pretty fast and like running the bases!
He said his favorite thing is hitting!
I saw these cute crafts and decided to be crafty for the boys teachers for Valentines Day.
Jake had school on his Birthday so we sent in these cute muffins for his class he made with Nonni.
 Birthday Boy
 So excited for his presents!
Craig, James, Brianna, Chase, Jake, and I went to Ruby's for Jake's Birthday dinner!
After we went to see the Lego Movie in 3D. This was the boys first time seeing a 3D movie! James loved it, Jake not so much.
Then we had a little Birthday dinner at Nonni's house
The big 5

The boys were obsessed with finding hearts in things...
James had a heart in his muffin
James found this heart shaped rock at school
And Jake found this heart shaped cloud!
The boys have been asking us to take them to Legoland. For awhile it was every day! They don't understand the planning and money and how far away it is!
So for their Birthdays this year we decided to take them! We kept it a surprise although they said they knew that is what the suprise was going to be! They were so excited. We got there on Saturday spent the day at the park, spent the night at Legoland Hotel and then went back to the park on Sunday. We all had a great time! James was so sad when we had to leave, he cried so much. At least we know he enjoyed himself! Here is a little slideshow of our trip there!
