Last weekend my Mom and Tom were kind enough to buy James his big boy bed. It was our Christmas/baby present! I had been looking for bedding since I found out we were having a boy to match James' crib bedding since the two boys will be sharing a room. I finally found something I liked online, so I was excited and nervous at the same time to see it in person. I didn't know what I was going to do if I didn't like it. It arrived this weekend and goes very well in the room. I wanted to start the first of the year getting James into his big boy bed so he will be used to sleeping in it by the time the baby arrives. We only now have 6 1/2 weeks until this baby is due! So we finally got the bed all set up and this is the second night of trying to have him sleep in it. No success yet! We haven't taken the crib down yet because it was just going to be a hassle. I think we will give it a week and see what happens. If he still isn't in his bed the crib may have to come out of the room!
Today we snuck him into the bed while he was napping. We thought it might help for him to wake up in the bed! Awe...he looks so cute and little!
**We will take any suggestions anyone has on this situation! :)

Oh man!! Sorry it hasn't worked yet! But it sure looks super cute in his room...everything matches great!! I don't really have any suggestions...Ayden surprisingly did really well when we switched him, but he moved to a whole new room!! Maybe the crib in there is too tempting for him! =) Good luck!!
Yeah! A BIG BOY bed! It looks really good, the bedding matches great! Logan moved really easily from crib to bed before he was 2 so the only suggestion I have is that hopefully these next 6 1/2 wks you have left that you can get him in that bed! I think it may be hard because you still have the crib in site. If I were you I'd disassemble the crib and take it out of site until later. You don't need it for the new baby until later because isn't the baby gonna be in your room for a while? I know it's probably a pain in the butt but I really think removing the crib will help?! Good luck! :)
