Swimming Breakthrough!

Today was James' fourth swim lesson. This morning when I asked him if he wanted to go swim with Miss Cerra he said OK. Then a little later when I was getting him ready he started crying. Then he was crying when I got him into the car. I remember when Brianna took lessons and it took her three times to stop crying. So I thought James would be the same way, or I was hoping he would be the same way! So when we got there he started a little whining but when we got to the pool there was another little girl taking a lesson. This was the first time that he saw another kid in the pool. I think it helped A LOT because she was a good swimmer and he got to watch her for about five minutes! When it was his turn he went right into the pool WITHOUT CRYING! YEAH!!! I got to stay and watch the whole lesson! He did really well but he still didn't get that lollipop because he wouldn't wear goggles. Lame, I think because he did really well and I have never known a swim teacher to make a kid wear goggles! He is two like he is going to wear them. I can't even get him to put on a hat! Oh well, her pool, her rules! He may never get a lollipop from Miss Cerra again!
Here is a little vid of him. It isn't that great because it was taken from my phone! The day I finally get to watch I forget my camera!

So GLAD he got in and didn't cry! I think it REALLY helps if he saw another kid doing it. Miss Cerra would make kids watch Logan & Kira swim too. Maybe one day we should go together & Kira should swim first since James knows us and everything he may think he is fine. Kira also didn't want to wear the goggles the first day but somehow after 5 minutes she got her to wear them. And she was only 18 months old then. They now LOVE their goggles and I had to buy some for Cabo but they are fine swimming with or without goggles. :)

Oh yeah..... even if he didn't get a Lolli from Miss Cerra then I hope Mommy gave him one because he did do a good job compared to the last lessons, right?! :)

It looks like he is doing so good in the video...going under and everything! You'll have to tell me all about it since you got to watch this time...I'm still trying to decide if I want to send Ayden! Wow...she sounds super strict!!
