We have been awaiting Christmas in our house for a very long time. Every day since Halloween James asks if it is Christmas today! Christmas Eve was a little confusing for him. I don't think he understood why we were opening some presents and Santa did not come! Jake was still a little young this year. I am sure next year he will be much more excited and have a better idea of what was going on!
Every year we go to my Mom's for lunch on Christmas Eve and spend it with one of my Brother and his family.

James was the first to open a gift, he was so excited, he has been waiting for this moment for so long!

He rips it open and immediately starts crying and says, " I don't want this!"
1. I think he thought this was the only thing he got to open and 2. He was terrified of it! It was from my Brother & fam and it was a remote control Big Foot.

James is a little timid of things, we were all trying to calm him down and thought we would show it to him, in the box.

Well that wasn't a good idea, he just ran out of the room, screaming, into the office and slammed the door!
Sammy and Brianna got a kick out of it! Well we all did really! Poor James.

I was able to coerce him out of the office with another present he was sure to like!

Brianna and her special present! A candy dispenser! James eying those Jelly Belly's!

Jake and his tractor

The girls having lunch

James trying his first cannoli. The best ones my Mom has made EVER!

After everyone left and went to save seats at church, Craig decided to try to introduce Jake to Big Foot and then James could watch from afar!

As soon as James saw how silly this thing is and all the silly things it says and does he LOVED it. It even got to sit next to him in the car on the way to church!

Church was great this year, James fell asleep 15 minutes into mass, so we only had to deal with one kid running a muck! Jake, outside of church most of the time!

I was so surprised James fell asleep at 6:30 and stayed asleep ALL NIGHT! Jake was the first to wake up in the morning, like usual, and it was nice because Jake didn't know what was going on, so all the presents sitting out didn't even phase him! When James woke up it was present time! He went straight for the Santa presents but I told him he needed to go wake up Brianna. So he did. She was so not thrilled about how early she had to get up to open presents! My Mom and Tom came over to watch the kids open presents and have Craig's yummy breakfast he makes every year!
Just a warning James does not have on anything but underwear in all these pictures! My child who won't wear clothes!
Jake really didn't want to unwrap any presents so James did most of them!

The most excited Jake got was when James opened the new Mater Movie!

And he wanted to watch it right away!

James was so enthusiastic it was ok that the other two kids were not. James made up for the both of them!

You would think the tiredness would subside for opening a Tiffany's box! Nope.

James brought home a present he made at school and it was sitting under the tree for over a week. James hasn't done too well with keeping secrets, especially about presents we get people. If you want to know what you got as a gift, just ask James. But he told us that it was a secret and he didn't tell us the whole time. Until I was opening it and as soon as I took it out of the bag, not unwrapped yet, he told me it was a picture! I should have taken a picture of it. It was a picture of him in an angel costume and he painted the frame! So adorable, best present!

Jake playing with his new cars.

Nonni helping Jake ride James' new scooter!

After presents and breakfast at our house we go down to Craig's sister's house for Christmas with that side of the family.
At least one kid is looking at me!

Nonna giving James Car rain boots that he wanted!

After lunch at Auntie Chris & Uncle J.P.'s house we head over to my Mom's again for dinner with my Mom's side of the fam and my other Brother & his family.
Craig with his sweet little Jade, every time Craig is around her he wants a little girl!

Michael & Jake playing with the new Cars magnets!

Uncle Vince, Michael, & Jake

Brianna & my niece Sabrina

We can't help but count our blessings during this time of year! We had a wonderful Christmas! Already looking forward to the next one!

That is SO funny about James & Big Foot....I could totally see him doing that. At first I was excited cuz I was thinking Ayden really wants that, so it will be a good one for him to play with at your house & they won't fight over it....but looks like James is a fan now, so I am sure there will be fights over that one!! LOL!! Aren't the homemade presents the kids make at school the best!! How sweet he made you a frame! :) Looks like you guys had a great one! Oh and I love the family pic of you 5...really cute! :)
