Farmer Craig

Craig and I have always talked about having a vegetable garden. Maybe one day when we have a bigger house with a bigger yard we can have a section for planting vegetables. Last summer we had to have some trees taken out of our backyard because these trees were planted in a planter box and the roots were becoming damaging. After the trees were removed we had empty planters. Craig decided this would be a great place to plant some veggies! So he did, even though we didn't really realize it was the wrong season to be planting. But here in good ole' So. Cal. it isn't THAT big of a deal since we sometimes have 80 degree weather in the winter and we don't have any snow! We are now starting to see our veggies grow! It is so exciting!
We are most excited about our tomatoes. See the little thing just starting to grow! We have a bunch of them!

This is the trellis Craig built for the tomatoes!

He also decided to take out some plants out of the front yard and plant veggies there as well! Carrots!

Broccoli!

Italian Parsley

We are also growing garlic, green onion, and we got an avocado tree!
Can't wait until we can eat our own veggies!

This is awesome! Jeff & I have always wanted to grow our own veggies. But, we can't with our dog. He'd eat them in second. :/ How fun though! And you're gonna get lots of tomatoes! Mmmm!
