Coloring Easter Eggs

James didn't really understand the Easter Bunny. I think because he didn't see him at the mall and there isn't a lot of hype of the Easter Bunny. At least not around our house. There are no Easter decorations or anything. So it was only until a few days ago my Mom had some Easter decorations out and he was "introduced" to the Easter Bunny. On Saturday we colored Easter eggs and he was really excited but I don't think he knew what they were for!

James 2 Year Photos

Carrie took James' 2 year pictures for me. She did an amazing job once again! He is a pretty tough one to photograph usually but this time after he warmed up (about a half hour later) he did really well!
Here are a few of my favorites...

Swimming Breakthrough!

Today was James' fourth swim lesson. This morning when I asked him if he wanted to go swim with Miss Cerra he said OK. Then a little later when I was getting him ready he started crying. Then he was crying when I got him into the car. I remember when Brianna took lessons and it took her three times to stop crying. So I thought James would be the same way, or I was hoping he would be the same way! So when we got there he started a little whining but when we got to the pool there was another little girl taking a lesson. This was the first time that he saw another kid in the pool. I think it helped A LOT because she was a good swimmer and he got to watch her for about five minutes! When it was his turn he went right into the pool WITHOUT CRYING! YEAH!!! I got to stay and watch the whole lesson! He did really well but he still didn't get that lollipop because he wouldn't wear goggles. Lame, I think because he did really well and I have never known a swim teacher to make a kid wear goggles! He is two like he is going to wear them. I can't even get him to put on a hat! Oh well, her pool, her rules! He may never get a lollipop from Miss Cerra again!
Here is a little vid of him. It isn't that great because it was taken from my phone! The day I finally get to watch I forget my camera!

Jake Cooing

Jake is 71/2 weeks now and he has started talking to us quite a bit now! Here is a little vid of him this morning!

An update on James' swim lessons:
Friday was our second lesson and he threw a fit right when we walked through the door, he cried the whole time during the lesson! She said he did really well but he cried even more when he didn't get a lollipop from Miss Cerra after the lesson. I didn't know she only gave lollipops if you were good, not crying, and doing what she wants you to do!
Today was his third lesson and we went in there working really hard not to cry, but as soon as he went with her the tears started. He cried for the first 15 minutes non-stop and then the rest of the lesson off and on. Our half hr. lesson turned into a 50 min. lesson because James wasn't listening and wouldn't climb out of the pool. So, needless to say I couldn't watch and James didn't get a lollipop again!Hopefully next time!

DISNEYLAND!!!

This year Craig and I decided that instead of getting James more toys for his Birthday, since has a ton and it was just Christmas, that we would take him to Disneyland. Both of us have been patiently waiting till he was old enough. I wanted to wait until the baby was 6 weeks old though and also we all have been sick. So yesterday was the day we finally got to go! We are also now official Disneyland pass holders!

James didn't know what to make of this! When we first walked in and he saw the train he says, "Awesome", it was so cute!

The first ride we went on was Casey's train. He was excited watching the train go by in line but when it was time to get on he was a little scared. As soon as it started going he was fine.
Waiting in line

On the train

Jake enjoyed the train ride!

After the ride James had his first churro! He LOVED it!

Then we went on Winnie the Pooh ride. He surprisingly liked it even though it was a dark ride! He loves Pooh Bear!

After the Pooh ride we went on The Jungle Cruise. He was terrified when we got into the boat! He was trying to get out! I thought for sure he would love it since he LOVES the boat at Nonna & Grampy's house! He got a little better when he started to see the animals, but he was still clinging on for dear life!

James' favorite part of the day was playing in the cars in Toon Town. He was so excited he kept going back and forth between the cars and running around them.

Dragging Daddy back to the cars

When we left toon town he had a fit. But when we found this lollipop stand and he picked out one he was happy as a clam!

Next James and I went on the Carousel. There was NO WAY he was getting on a horse, so we sat on the bench!

On the way out of the park Daddy bought James a Pooh Bear and he was SO happy!

The instant I took him out of the stroller and put him in the car seat he fell asleep!

It was such a fun day we can't wait to go back!

Swim Lessons

I haven't blogged in a while because we haven't been up to much around here since the whole house, except Craig, has been sick! Even the poor little baby. It wasn't anything major thank goodness, just colds. Brianna is still hacking away and can't seem to kick this cold but we are all doing much better.

Today James had his first swim lesson! I have been so excited for him to start. I wanted to make sure we started well before summer came so he will be ready for the pool by then. All morning I was asking him if he wanted to go to swim and he was so excited. I think because he thought we were going to Nonni's to swim and he was going to go with his cousins! The lessons are at a sports club and once we got there I was telling him his teacher's name, Miss Cerra, (pronounced like Sarah), and told him that he couldn't cry or Mommy won't be able to stay and watch him. So when I asked him if he was going to cry he said "NO". As soon as we walked into the pool area we met his teacher and he didn't want to go with her. We took his shirt off, she took him and he had a FIT! So I said bye and walked around the corner. I wanted to listen to see how long he would cry. It lasted about 5 minutes and then he stopped. So I went to sit in the lobby. When I came back to get him he was out of the pool sitting on a chair with his towel around him having a lollipop! She said he did good. When I asked him if he had fun he wouldn't even talk, he was too into his lollipop! He gave her a hug goodbye and a high five! When I was getting him dressed I asked him if he wanted Mommy to watch him swim next time and he said yes, so I told him he can't cry then. So hopefully when we go on Friday he won't cry so I can stay and watch!
Here he is in the locker room before his lesson, since I couldn't watch I couldn't get any pictures!
