From my last post you all know that we had a wonderful Valentine's Day surprise!! Our little boy, Jake Anthony was born at 3:22 p.m. He weighed in at 8lbs. 15oz. and was 20 1/2 inches. It all started with my Dr. appt the day before. I think the membrane stripping worked! Since the appt I had contractions but nothing painful or consistent. I knew though if they kept up like they were I wouldn't make it through the weekend. Friday night I went to bed and had a good night sleep. Saturday I had a hair appt, I wanted to get in one last time before the baby was here. I also had a pedicure appt that afternoon, also wanted to get one in before the baby came! Oh well! As soon as I started to get ready to go to my hair appt I started having contractions, it was about 8:15. They were pretty strong, for about 15 minutes I felt they were coming pretty regular, so I thought maybe I should time these, I was supposed to leave in a half hour! So I timed them and they were 5 min apart. I called and canceled my hair appt! Didn't want to get stuck there! So for the next hour and a half they were consistently 5 min apart and getting stronger. We didn't have ANYTHING ready! I knew this was going to happen because Craig had planned to do everything that day. So as I am in labor I am getting my stuff together and installing the car seat and Craig is taking a shower and getting James ready and the house picked up. He called his Mom who was coming to stay with James and as soon as she got there we were off! We got to the hospital at 11:00, I was dilated to 4 on my way to 5 and 90% effaced! Labor and delivery went smoothly and he was here with 3 pushes 4 hrs and 20 minutes later! It probably would have been even sooner if we didn't have to wait for the Dr. to get there!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! He's adorable!! And boy oh boy is he givin' me Baby Fever! LOL! What a fun Valentine's Day for all of you!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! He was absolutely perfect! And man, James and Jake do look a lot alike!!! Could be the same baby if you didn't say anything!!! It will be fun to see how similar/different they are as they grow!
Congrats again!!!! You have yourself another cutie. They do look a lot alike. We did the comparison pics too and they were amazing to see side by side. Glad you all are home and doing well. Enjoy your boys; they are so much fun together....
